U.Power offers a blended learning approach for female social entrepreneurs. By combining an online training course with one to one mentoring, this programme endeavours to empower budding social entrepreneurs to generate and develop an idea for a social enterprise.
This course has been developed with the aim of training adult educators, increasing their ability to interface with budding female social entrepreneurs and establish themselves as an efficient mentor. This introductory open online course is a comprehensive introduction into becoming a social entrepreneur. The 7 self led modules have been designed to be accessible and open for women to complete in their own time. The seven module course covers the following areas:
To encourage and empower learners participating in the online training course, mentors are available on a one to one basis for four mentoring sessions. The trained mentors will work with learners to support them in the completion of the training course along with the development of a social enterprise business idea.
